What Jesus Said about Your Money, Part 25 of 31

TEXT: "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much" (Luke 16:10).

IDEA: We are "unjust" when we divert funds for our own interests that were given us to use for the Master's interest.

PURPOSE: To challenge listeners to think seriously about their ethical responsibility.

He who is faithful . . .

He who is unjust . . .

What does it mean in this parable to be "unjust"?

What would you expect in contrast to "faithful"?

I. In the context of the steward, what does "unjust" mean vs. "the Master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly . . ."?

What exactly had the steward done?

What exactly is he commended for?

Why is he called unjust? He defrauded his master of what was rightfully his.

II. In the context of life, what does it mean from this context to be unjust?

What would you think we meant if we talked about an "unjust Christian"?

In this context, what does it mean?
